Research Experience for Undergraduates Program

Our diverse cohort of 2021 IRIHSE Scholars will gain research experience by working in two different labs at CWRU over the summer. They will also participate in professional development activities through SOURCE and within IRIHSE.

L-R: IRIHSE Scholars Aaron, Evan, and Justin; graduate mentor Will; Scholars Linzy, Danyel, and Barrington; and REU Coordinator Gaius watched Cleveland take on Baltimore during a well-deserved break from the lab.

CWRU students: The participants in our 2021 pilot program have already been selected, but we hope to offer this opportunity again in future years. We are committed to diversifying science and to using our program to offer opportunities to undergraduate students from groups traditionally under-represented in science. Please monitor this page for information on how to apply to future summer programs.
